MILESTONES

1999
	Initial seeds - Training for junior animators and setting up of infrastructure.
	Toonz Animation Inaugurated by the Maharaja of Travancore
	First series of ' A Week with The Masters' bringing together top professionals in the animation industry from across the world.
	Our first client - Cartoon Network, Hong Kong signs up with Toonz for a series of 20 commercials for the millennium campaign titled 'Get Tooned'.

2000
	Second series of 'A Week with The Masters'
	'InSea Animation Competition' constituted by Toonz to reward the best creative animation in South East Asia.
	Our first award - Toonz short film for UNICEF 'Stone Crusher' won First Prize in the 'World Animation Celebration 2000' (First major international recognition which any Indian animation venture has received)
	Toonz Animation's first 2D project 'Turtle Island' a 2D series production for Mimosa Productions Canada.

2001
	Toonz organize 'Children's Animation Workshop' the first of its kind.
	Toonz launched two exciting comic books 'Pakka Toonz' and 'Classic Toonz'.
	First national marketing office in Mumbai.
	Development of an animation training programme for the students of NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology)
	Third series of 'A Week with the Masters' with 'Animation World Network' (AWN) as the official sponsor.

2002
	The Animation Magazine selected Toonz Animation India Pvt Ltd, as 'one among the top 10 multimedia studios in the world'.
	Toonz produces 'The Adventures of Tenali Raman' India's first animated television series.
	KAFI 2002 International Animation Fete - 'Three wishes' and, 'Stone Crusher' won Gold Medals in the Student (under 18yr) category and Public service announcement categories. 'Torty's day out' bagged the silver medal in the students category. 'Something Amiss' bagged the award of merit.
	'Tortys day out' won the award for outstanding excellence in Children's Media at the Chicago International Children's Film festival.
	Won two of the Seagate Technical Awards for excellence in Digital Technology for films and television at the Broadcast India 2002 Exhibition.
	In association with NATPAC (a government organization) Toonz produced series of animated short films to generate awareness about road safety.

2003
	Toonz Academy opened with its first centre in Trivandrum.
	'Cute bunny' a children's film produced by Toonz Animation, bagged the 'Best Animated film for children' award at the first Latvian International Animated Film festival BIMINI 2003.
	'Cute bunny' selected for Chicago International Children's Film Festival (CIFF) 2003.
	Four films produced by Toonz made a clean sweep of the top honors in the Student Directed Category at the prestigious second Kalamazoo Animation Festival International (KAFI)
	'Cute Bunny' and 'Rhythm of Nature' selected for screening at 27th International Animated Film Festival, Cinanima 2003, Portugal.
	'Penguins to the Zoo' selected for screening at International Student Animation Festival (SAFO 2003) from 1200 entries.

2004
	Toonz Academy provides consultancy to the Government of West Bengal to set up the Toonz Webel Academy India's first freestanding animation academy.
	Our first 2D feature film 'Tommy and Oscar' agreement signed with Rainbow Productions, Italy.
	Contract signed with Disney Asia, for the production of 'Legends of the ring of fire'.
	Setting up of state-of-the-art 3 D studio.
	'The Adventures of Tenali Raman' aired in Cartoon Network, Asia.
	MAAC India Awards, launched in association with Toonz.

2005
	Toonz through its JV with First Serve Entertainment (First Serve Toonz Entertainment) enter in to an agreement with Marvel Characters to produce an animated television series based on the renowned X Men character Wolverine.
	Toonz Animation's first 3D project 'Finley the Fire Engine' agreement entered in to with Hallmark Entertainment.
	India's leading business magazine Business Today, has rated Toonz as 'one of Indias top ten cool companies'
	Toonz produced a stop motion feature for UNICEF 'Hand Pump' which aimed at creating awareness about water conservation.
	In-house 3D rendering facility set up.

2006
	Toonz Animation selected to the Red Herring Asia 50 list.
	Toonz Animation signs an agreement with Paramount Home Entertainment for the production of a 3D feature film 'Dragonlance'.
	Agreement with BBC/ Isle of Man to produce a 3D action adventure series 'Freefonix'.
	Signed Co operation agreement with Hyde Park Entertainment.

2007
	Toonz Animation nominated for Red Herring 100 Global list.
	Toonz Licensing and Merchandising arm launched.
	Toonz Animation's own production 'Paddy's Pages' has been selected for screening at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival 2007.
	Toonz Animation is currently recommended for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 India as well as Fast 500 Asia list.
	Toonz Academy opens its new centres in Mumbai, Delhi and Nagpur.
	'Hanuman Returns' sequel to the successful feature film Hanuman co produced by Toonz.

2008
	'Hanuman Returns' won the Best Animated Feature Film award for the FICCI Frames BAF Awards, India.
	'Hanuman Returns' won the Arena Golden Cursor Award for the Best Animated Feature Film award. (CNBC and TV-18)
	Toonz Animation short-listed for the Global Tech Showcase (GTS 2008), being held in conjunction with the World Investment Conference in La Brule, France.

2009
	Production of our first 3D feature film 'Life and Adventures of Santa Claus' starts.
	Signs co-production agreement with Illusion Studios for 3D feature film 'Gaturro'.
	Delivers 'Playmobil' a 3D interactive DVD for Sony Home Entertainment.
	'Sacred Eggs' wins best animated short film award at the Second International Documentary and Short Film Festival organized by Kerala State Chalachtira Academy.
